What is ACOVA?
A Community Organization for Victims Assistance (ACOVA)
has been established by the Pueblo County Sheriff's Office to serve all victims of crime or circumstances in Pueblo County, regardless of ethnic, religious persuasion, financial status, community standing,
age or gender. We assist victims following a crime or incident by providing immediate crisis intervention with victims and families; referral to supportive community agencies, information on victim's compensation and the judical system.
ACOVA is committed to ensuring the rights of victims are met and directing victims to the appropriate community resources that will assist in their recovery.
ACOVA is committed to recognizing and responding to our community's need for comprehensive victim services. We understand that domestic abuse, in its fullest scope, impacts primary victims, family members, community and future generations. With this in mind, it is our mission to stop the cycle of violence by providing crisis intervention, advocacy, prevention and education.
