A Community Organization for Victim Assistance (ACOVA) was established in 1991 by the Pueblo County Sheriff's Office to provide crisis intervention and support services to victims of crime. ACOVA's mission is to work in accordance with the Victim Rights Act (VRA) to provide victim services primarily through all law enforcement agencies by providing 24-hour on scene crisis intervention.
ACOVA is committed to recognizing and responding to our community's need for comprehensive victim services. We understand that domestic abuse, in its fullest scope, impacts primary victims, family members, community and future generations. With this in mind, we are committed to stop the cycle of violence by providing crisis intervention, advocacy, prevention and education.
